Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA) 2001 Chapter 10

This act amends the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and introduces new legal duties for schools relating to all pupils or prospective pupils with disabilities.

The Disability Rights Commission have published A Governors' Guide: Disability Discrimination Act Part 4 to summarise the duties and explain the responsibilities of school governors regarding the new duties from September 2002.
