Guidance on the administration of Key Stage 2 tests

The National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) and the National Union of Teachers (NUT) have announced a boycott of Key Stage 2 tests for primary school children. In response to this announcement the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has published important advice and information for local authorities and governors.

On 28 April 2010 DCSF issued a letter for governors with guidance on the administration of Key Stage 2 tests in light of the NUT and NAHT boycott.

A background note for governors, outlining the legal duties of headteachers and governors and featuring questions and answers, is also available.
