Let's talk resources

This information is part of a discussion which aims to look at how the DCSF can help improve and build on existing support to help schools maintain healthy finances.

The Secretary of State, Ed Balls, set out his ambition in the Department's discussion paper Securing our future: Using our resources well. Schools and LAs are encouraged to take part in local and national discussions on how we can all make better use of our funding and resources.

  • TeacherNet Online Publications: Securing our future: using our resources well.

As part of this discussion the DCSF is interested to hear what schools are doing to manage their finances more effectively. Use the questionnaire to join the discussion.

  • Let's talk resources: Questionnaire

See three case studies for examples of how some schools have taken measures to make more effective use of their resources.

  • Let's talk resources: Case studies

The DCSF has also compiled a list of links to websites which provide support for schools see the resources database for more information.
