Boost in funding to improve school buildings
Ruth Kelly announced on 12 October how schools across the country will benefit from a share of a record 1.1 billion in funding to improve existing and create new schools. The money is being delivered by the Targeted Capital Fund. This money sits alongside the investment that goes to every school and every LA each year, and the DfES's long term programme: Building Schools for the Future. Read the letter of 12 October from the DfES's Sally Brooks to LAs for further information.
