Primary Engineer

Primary Engineer is an initiative that brings high-quality Design and Technology training to primary schools. Key Stage 1 and 2 teachers are offered training at their local specialist engineering or technology college to establish strong curriculum links. It is based on children undertaking fun activities using engineering principles to design and build land-based vehicles. Challenges are directly linked to QCA requirements in Design and Technology and lead to national finals. Primary Engineer is supported by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Learning Grid.
