Train the Trainer: post-16 peer mentoring events

The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation (MANDBF) will be facilitating a series of peer mentoring Train-the Trainer events for post-16 providers. These events will be held at a number of venues during the next academic year. Throughout the day, delegates will develop new skills and gain the information needed to deal with important issues prior to setting up a peer mentoring programme.

Who is the course aimed at?
Post-16 peer mentoring often takes place outside of a traditional education context and can be offered by any service or organisation who work with young people over 16 years old as volunteers. The course is aimed at introducing practitioners to peer mentoring and programme coordination. It will help practitioners prepare the peer mentors for the task of supporting the young people in one-to-one-mentoring relationships.

How much?
The cost per delegate is 90 and includes a full days training, lunch and a peer mentoring resource pack. The pack has been updated and includes documents used for the development, administration and promotion of peer mentoring programmes.

How do I find out more?
