Energy efficiency advice from the Carbon Trust

The DfES, as part of its sustainable schools  year of action, is working with the Carbon Trust with its schools campaign.

The campaign highlights the many benefits of energy efficiency, both financially and environmental, and outlines the key areas where the Carbon Trust can help.

If your school spends 50,000 or more every year on energy, it can take advantage of a free survey that will identify straightforward measures that could lead to big savings.

If the school is due to be rebuilt or refurbished through Building Schools for the Future or other parts of the schools capital programme, the Carbon Trust can help you make your school more environmentally sensitive through free or subsidised design advice.

Schools could also benefit from support through a renewable energy technology capital grant from the DTI.

To find out more or register for a site survey call 0800 917 3030 or visit the Carbon Trust website.
