Duty to have regard to the views of parents

Governing bodies are reminded that Section 21(7) of the Education Act 2002 (as inserted by section 38 of The Education and Inspections Act 2006) places a duty on governing bodies, when exercising their functions, to have regard to any views expressed to them by parents of registered pupils at the school.
