Young people at risk

Is your local authority developing closer partnerships with schools through implementation of the targeted youth support reforms? Do you have an interest in improving the lives of the most challenging young people in society? Register for this free national conference.

Effective implementation of the targeted youth support reforms will be critical to delivering improvements for at risk young people such as reductions in teenage pregnancies and the number of young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET).

The day will help schools and other local partners by showcasing good practice examples from around the country and will be an exciting opportunity to hear about developments in government policy including the newly launched Youth Taskforce.

Speakers include Rt Hon Beverley Hughes MP, Minister of State for Children and Young People, Dr Maggie Atkinson, Association of Directors of Childrens Services President and Director of Childrens Services, Gateshead Council plus many more.

The event will be held on 20 May at Congress Centre, 28 Great Russell Street, London.

For further information and to register a place for this event see the DCSF website or telephone 01772 767738.
