Teachers TV Kids and Crime Week
Schools and Crime Schools are becoming increasingly important hubs of the community, and part of their role is to equip young people with the confidence to stay out of gangs. This three-part series looks at how some schools in London are raising awareness about gang behaviour and helping to make young peoples lives safer.
Guns are Cool Guns are seen as cool, fashionable and desirable by many young people today. We meet advertisers, politicians, police and kids on the street as we attempt to answer the question of what can we do to halt the ever-increasing numbers of young people carrying guns on the streets of Britain today. The Trouble with Young People The media portrays young people as binge-drinking, hoody-wearing louts but are they really out of control? Can teenagers themselves improve the way they are perceived by older generations? Watch to find out.
What if Gangs Using an imaginary case study Mike Baker asks an expert panel how they would tackle escalating gang-related incidents within their school.
Gangs - Escaping the Life This documentary questions the notion that gang members are criminals who can't change. In this programme, ex-gang members candidly talk about their past and the changes they've made to their lives.
