Political Assassinations: Martin Luther King � Death in Memphis
In April 1968, Martin Luther King was at the height of his popularity. He had mobilised the black masses of America against apartheid and won Civil Rights concessions which made Blacks and Whites equal in the eyes of the Law.

Malcolm X � Murder in New York
Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little in Ohama in 1925, and grew up in different reformatories. As a teenager, he came into conflict with the law and it was while in prison that he learnt about the theses of the self-proclaimed prophet of Islam, Elijah Muhammed, leader of the organisation "Nation of Islam".
