Sustainable schools year of action
The academic year 2006/07 is a Year of Action on Sustainable development for schools following the consultation on the Sustainable Schools Strategy published in May 2006.
The DfES is committed to embedding sustainable development in schools, the curriculum and the community and is working with partners and other Government departments to provide the necessary tools for this to happen.
The suite of materials will be engaging and informative and allow schools and pupils to work on real issues and can help raise pupil achievement.
