Teacher assessments

Teacher assessment is submitted on the 'Teacher assessment' section of the QCA Test orders website, available from 1 May 2009. Early return of teacher assessment information is encouraged.

Teacher assessment data can be submitted in two ways:

  • Schools can make their submissions directly to QCA using their own management information system (MIS). Schools will receive a report indicating if the file has been uploaded successfully.
  • Some local authorities (LAs) may choose to collect teacher assessment on behalf of their schools.

Guidance for users of proprietary MIS packages

  • Guidance notes for Capita SIMS users for the submission of Key Stage 2 and 3 teacher assessments.
  • Guidance notes parts 1 to 4 for Pearson Phoenix users for the submission of key stage 2 teacher assessments.
  • Guidance (linked in the Attachments section) for users of proprietary MIS packages.

Notes for RM Integris have not been produced in view of the 'bespoke' teacher assessment return routines provided in RM's assessment products.

Further information

For queries relating to the entry of teacher assessment into your Management Information System, MIS, or to the production of a CTF file from this software, you should contact your MIS support within the LA or direct from your supplier.

For further information about submitting teacher assessment please refer to the 2009 Key Stage 2 Assessment and reporting arrangements and the 2009 Key Stage 2 Teacher assessment and reporting arrangements available on the QCA Tests and exams website. Alternatively, contact the National Curriculum Tests helpline on 08700 60 60 40.
