Plug in to the DCSF
The DCSF network group is a virtual group of over 300 members from all phases of schools and local authorities across the country, including heads and other leadership team members, teachers, support staff and governors. The Network members work in and around schools to help the Department keep in touch with the issues affecting you at any given time.
The kind of people being sought will:
- understand what works well and why at ground level in schools
- possess good analytical skills, have an ability to think clearly about education and be able to express themselves in a constructive manner
- be passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
The DCSF would like members of the network to provide feedback in a variety of ways, depending on the nature and urgency of the topic. Members will have the chance to take part in the network in their own right and will not 'represent' any school or organisation. They will be free to voice their honest opinions, whatever their length of service or involvement in the school sector.
The network will not be a political or 'lobbying' tool either for government or participants. No payments will be made to members other than reimbursement of direct expenses to attend meetings etc.
If you would like to join, you are asked to complete this form and submit it by 8 May 2009.
Email the DCSF for further information.
