* The GTC Registration of Temporary Teachers from Relevant European States Regulations 2009
In order to comply with EU Directive 2005/36, which allows a qualified teacher from an EEA State or Switzerland to work on a temporary and occasional basis in another member country without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), we are introducing a set of regulations which makes provision for these applicant teachers to temporarily register with the General Teaching Council for England or the General Teaching Council for Wales.
