The GTC Registration of Temporary Teachers from Relevant European States Regulations 2009
In order to comply with EU Directive 2005/36, which allows a qualified teacher from an EEA State or Switzerland to work on a temporary and occasional basis in another member country without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), we are introducing a set of regulations which makes provision for these applicant teachers to temporarily register with the General Teaching Council for England or the General Teaching Council for Wales. This will ensure that they are subject to the same requirements and safeguards that are already in place for all other teachers in England and Wales....Go to consultation »
